Kia Seltos Seating Capacity: Kia offers the compact SUV in a 5-seater layout.

While the 1.5-litre petrol motor is good for 115PS/144Nm, the diesel engine develops 115PS/250Nm. The 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which has an output of 140PS/242Nm, is only offered with the GT Line variants. It is available with either a 6-speed manual or various automatic transmission options depending on the engine. In case of automatic transmissions, the diesel engine gets a 6-speed torque converter while the petrol is either paired to a CVT or a DCT gearbox. The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol can be paired to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission). Kia claims a fuel efficiency of 16.5kmpl for the petrol-manual and 16.8kmpl for the petrol-CVT variants. The diesel manual’s claimed fuel efficiency figure stands at 21kmpl while the 6-speed AT’s stands at 18kmpl. The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol, paired with the DCT, has a claimed mileage of 16.5kmpl while the manual returns 16.1kmpl.
Kia Seltos Features: Kia offers the Seltos with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Kia’s UVO connected car technology, an air purifier, ambient lighting, and an 8-inch head-up display. It also gets ventilated front seats, a power-adjustable driver seat, a 7-inch multi-information display, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, and a sunroof. The 2020 Seltos adds smartwatch connectivity, smart-key remote engine start, and a "Hello Kia" wake up command for the voice assist of the UVO Connect features.
Kia Seltos Safety: The Seltos’ safety net consists of up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, emergency stop signal, vehicle stability management (VSM), electronic stability control (ESC), and hill assist control (HAC).
Kia Seltos Rivals: It goes up against the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Nissan Kicks and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. It will also take on the upcoming Skoda VISION IN and Volkswagen Taigun SUVs. In case you wish to buy a more rugged SUV, you can check out the Mahindra Scorpio.
Like the Creta, the Seltos also has the square and upright look that Indians love. The Seltos is also a bit bigger than the Hyundai Creta. It is 45mm longer, 20mm wider and the wheelbase is longer by 20mm too. However, in terms of height, it is less than the Creta. This is because the Seltos is built on a new platform on which the next generation Creta, due to be launched in 2020, has also been made.
